B 2007 International Conference

The B 2007 International Conference took place in Besancon in January 2007.  This was an opportunity for the B Community to meet and engage in exchanges on various research topics in the formal field. In particular, ETH Zurich has created a very complete tutorial for the new Open Source Rodin tool that allows for the development of system models with B.  We also noted Daniel Dollé’s (Siemens Transportation Systems) presentation on the formal development of the most significant B Project in terms of scope: the New York subway line referred to as the "Carnasie Line". You can download the overheads from our page.

Clearsy Tools/Methods, Focus on Brama

Clearsy designs engineering tools and, in particular, distributes Atelier B, B4free and CompoSys. Other tools are in development: in this letter, we provide more information on the Brama tool that is currently being developed.

Brama: an aid tool for the graphic animation of B models.

The modeler creates B models with Atelier B, B4free or the Rodin platform, then, with the Brama animation tool, works on these models.

Brama was designed to communicate with Flash tools configured with a communication extension that is delivered with Brama.

The modeler’s task consists in representing his system with the Flash tools and configuring the scripts that allow for a dialogue with the Brama animation engine.

When the user is satisfied, Brama allows the user to export the finished animation in the form of files which, once saved on a CD, will launch the graphic animation without prior installation and on any PC with Windows or Linux.

Examples of animations are available on the new site : www.Brama.fr

Internships: ClearSy offers students in engineering internships in the field of mathematic modeling and software development. To find out more...
