{"id":21093,"date":"2026-01-27T17:42:00","date_gmt":"2026-01-27T15:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.clearsy.com\/?p=21093"},"modified":"2026-01-27T17:42:00","modified_gmt":"2026-01-27T15:42:00","slug":"clearsy-secures-the-ecotrain-with-its-free-track-detection-system","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.clearsy.com\/en\/rd-2-en\/clearsy-secures-the-ecotrain-with-its-free-track-detection-system\/","title":{"rendered":"CLEARSY secures the ECOTRAIN with its free track detection system"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Several light rail projects, such as ECOTRAIN unveiled at the end of 2025, are emerging.<\/strong> In this context, CLEARSY is innovating and designing safety systems adapted to these new shuttles.<\/p>\n<p>The free track detection system developed enables the train to receive advance information about any obstacles on the track.<\/p>\n<p>Based on safe radar detection, this system:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scans a section of track<\/li>\n<li>Determines whether there is anything abnormal on the track by comparing it with a reference radar image<\/li>\n<li>Issues a verdict: free or occupied track<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This information is transmitted securely to trains, which can adjust their speed before reaching the section in question.<\/p>\n<p>At any time, if the track is free again, the system transmits this new information to the trains, which will resume normal speed.<\/p>\n<p>This system optimises train speed while ensuring safety.<\/p>\n<p>Supported by <strong>France2030<\/strong> via <strong>ADEME<\/strong>, the ECOTRAIN shuttle was designed by <strong>Philippe BOURGUIGNON<\/strong> and developed by a 100% French consortium (<strong>Groupe Stratiforme-Compreforme -Technoforme<\/strong>, <strong>Socofer France<\/strong>, <strong>Syntony GNSS<\/strong>, <strong>CLEARSY<\/strong>, <strong>IMT Nord Europe<\/strong>, <strong>IMT Mines Albi<\/strong>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Several light rail projects, such as ECOTRAIN unveiled at the end of 2025, are emerging.
