The new metro on rail MF2000, planned for service on lines 2, 5, and 9 at the end of 2006, is equipped with an entirely computerized system of piloting and failure detection, in contrast to previous systems that still used electronic relays.

The three main components of the safety IT, the CP (central processor), SIM (Safe Interface Module), and EPE (Operating Parameter Recorder) are likewise verified.

Developments

• Review of the test documents (validation, integration, and system).
• Follow-up of the revisions of the design documents and verification of their proper application regarding tests.
• Critical review of the source code and verification of the application of the coding rules.
• Review of the unit tests and their results.
• Application of the EN-50128 standard concerning software deliveries SIL2 (EPE) and SIL4 (CP and SIM).
• Development of help tools in verification of formatted documents (pseudocode, traceability tables…).
