The SCK-CEN (Centre for Nuclear Studies) has renewed its confidence in CLEARSY’s RS4 range of safety relays for the Emergency Shutdown System of the BR2 high-flux reactor located in Mole (Belgium).
In 2019, the RS4 successfully passed tests conducted by the Belgian Nuclear Safety Authority. The SCK-CEN selected the RS4 relay range as part of the reactor’s modernisation to comply with post-Fukushima safety requirements.
The technical characteristics of the SIL4-certified RS4 allow for simple and scalable integration on all chassis and in all industrial environmental conditions, while complying with nuclear safety functional requirements.
