Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, the main operator of Kuala Lumpur’s public transport network, has once again placed its trust in CLEARSY for the maintenance of Line 5, the ‘Kelana Jaya Line’.
This line is equipped with platform doors controlled by a legacy safety system based on magnetic communication between trains and ground-based equipment to control the opening and closing of the doors. In 2017, ALSTOM commissioned CLEARSY to upgrade this system, which had become obsolete. The teams then developed new on-board equipment compatible with the existing installations.
In 2026, Prasarana, seeking to streamline its maintenance operations, once again commissioned CLEARSY to design a portable testing and diagnostic tool capable of simulating the ground-based part of the system directly in the field.
This new collaboration confirms CLEARSY’s expertise in the modernisation and long-term sustainability of critical systems.
