CLEARSY has been assisting SNCF Réseau for over 3 years in carrying out safety analyses for the Paris-Lyon LGV+, a strategic project for the development of the French rail network.
This ambitious project, subsidized by the European Union, aims to modernize the line’s signaling, which will be equipped with the European Train Control system ETCS level 2. This will enable:
- gradually increase the line’s capacity, from 13 trains per hour and per direction at peak times today, to a capacity of 16 trains per hour and per direction in 2030.
- all rail operators to run trains on the line without additional equipment.
The next step is to put the line into operation, which requires approval of the Safety File.
