CLEARSY supplies Hitachi Rail with SIL4 safety latching interface system designed to replace railway signalling systems. This equipment ensures a fast, simple and secure switchover between the old and new systems, which is essential for operations.
The validation of complex systems generally requires several test campaigns before they are put into service. During this period, the old signalling system continues to operate during the day, whilst the CLEARSY switchover unit enables the new system to be tested at night.
Thanks to the CLEARSY SIL4 signalling changeover unit, which is able to manage over 200 contacts, the processes of migrating and simultaneously connecting the two systems (Y-connection) are considerably simplified. It enables the rapid connection of new installations undergoing validation, as well as an immediate return to the original configuration when operations resume, whilst ensuring that the SIL4 safety level is maintained.
