A magnetic mat along the track allows an on-board computer to determine the exact and guaranteed location (SIL4) of the train. The train can then brake if necessary, according to a speed curve that must not be exceeded, otherwise an emergency brake will be applied. The equipment has been developed by CLEARSY on the basis of its new SIL4 certified safety computer: the CLEARSY Safety Platform.
This tracking system is adapted to a GOA4 autonomous system driving.
