SIEMENS has entrusted CLEARSY with the SIL2 safety of the supervision display for the SNCF’s new RER (commuter) train operating system (NExTEO).
The safety software was based on technological bricks designed by CLEARSY, already implemented in the user interfaces of fire safety systems for the RATP and Grand Paris networks.
The main difficulty lay in working on an existing, non-safe interface. The interfaces between the supervision software and the safety module had to be clearly defined.
CLEARSY developed the security software, an integration platform and carried out the safety demonstration in close collaboration with the SIEMENS teams.
