Developed by CLEARSY for the RATP, the COPP2 system has been equippeing line 13 of the Paris Metro since 2010. It safely controls the opening and closing of the platform screen doors, in coordination with the trains.
The upcoming arrival of the new trains on Line 13 requires the system to be upgraded: COPP2 must be adapted to this new rolling stock while maintaining the required level of safety for platform door control.
For the past two years, CLEARSY has been developing and validating this new version of COPP2. A new milestone has now been reached with the completion of the production of the first serial units and the start of their validation program with the first MF19 test trains. Testing is being carried out both in the depot and directly on Line, during dedicated night tests, allowing the system to be validated under its future operating conditions.
